Found these sketches for some portraits I painted for a music packaging thing I worked on awhile back.

I’m really feelin’ this low-poly animation style. It’s like those old-school travel posters from the 50’s.

January 13th, 2010The Stencil Cap™s I designed work best on cans that don’t have the color donuts on them (and when used with a soft/thin cap like a grey dot). Back in the olden Krylon days cans didn’t come with these things. With the exception of Molotow Premium, I think all brands of artist aerosol cans have these color donuts on them now.

I’ve found that these ^pocket corkscrew/bottle openers work best to get those plastic color donuts off cans like Montana Gold (German), Ironlak, MTN 94, Montana Hardcore (Spanish), Alien, Sabotaz, and Beat.

Get the point under the donut, give it a couple twists,
and pull the thing off.

Wipe some paint on top of the can so you can color identify it.
Thanks to Eyer for the hand(s).
